Emmanuel Adebayor completes £5m move to move to Tottenham

Emmanuel Adebayor has completed his transfer to Tottenham, after agreeing a £5m move from Manchester City.

The Togo striker impressed with 17 Premier League goals during a loan spell last term and, although the clubs agreed a fee last month, the move stalled over a proposed pay-off.

A compromise was finally reached early on Tuesday, paving the way for Adebayor to join Spurs on a permanent basis.

Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas is also keen add a midfielder to his squad.
